My first time doing makeup ON SET day 2 :)

So I hit the road for day 2 of work :)
Im finally almost there after an hour of driving...I EVEN STAYED AT MY MOMS TO BE CLOSER TO SET
i thought the trailer on the right was cool..haha
FINALLY IM HERE! :) this was my favorite inside..the rainforest section :)

Jane (the talent on camera) was locked in Biosphere 2 with 7 other people for 2 years to see how people would react to the situation because they wanted to see if it would be possible to send these "little worlds" out into space for people in space. Biosphere 2 is basically a miniature world all contained in this football stadium sized sealed place. They had a desert area, a rain forest area, the beach, EVERYTHING. We even got to go to places no one but the people that work there is allowed! Heres my pictures from day two of my journey :)

I had to take a picture when I parked it was just so cool!
this is what I saw when I walked into the kitchen!
Rebecca Hamm (she was in charge :) )
Some of the guys on crew
I want to live here
i thought this was funny it was the enterance to the beach and it said "WARNING NO LIFE GUARD ON DUTY"
This was another talent for the filming. His name was Nate Allen great guy :)
filming on the beach :)

i just thought this was funny... this was during our lunch break :)

I dont know.. I liked the stairs :)
Hopefully you all enjoy the few pictures I took on my journey! There were more areas in the biosphere, i just didnt have time for pictures anywhere else! :) You should go for yourself and check it out! :)

My firt time doing makeup for film! Day 1 :)

SO I HAD THE PLEASURE TO DO THE MAKEUP AND HAIR FOR FILM THIS WEEK :) I had the most fun, entertaining, exiting learning experience of my life working on set for film. I made some new friends out of the project too! My work will finally be aired on TV, and I have the potential of being the makeup artist on the TV show Dirty Jobs when they come to Tucson! I am so exited about life right now! While I was on my way to the location... i dropped a bottle with hair product in the car while i was driving! haha it was pretty insane in my car!
THIS MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD I HAD TO PULL OVER

But anyways, we were filming an interview with this woman named Jane Poynter who is super sweet, funny and way more beautiful in real life. The first day was at her office building called Paragon where her company does research!
Jane was explaining to the director what everything on the shelves were
Jane had awesome green cowboy boots on!
Far right is a new friend Phil and to the left of him is Ron! (i cant tell whos in the back over there)

I know i didnt take a lot of pictures, but I was busy doing other peoples makeup when they got there! They were a blast too! :) You will have to watch it when it airs! :) I promise I will take more pictures when time allows :)

IMATS LA 2010

I would like to start off by saying I am sorry Ive been so busy with everything, so I haven't blogged in awhile!
BUT I had a  BLAST at IMATS (international Makeup Artist Trade Show) LA this year, which was my first year. It is going to be a once a year thing for me for sure! I will say Im not planning on taking the greyhound next year tho! My bus was late so I got to LA just as IMATS started..which meant it was time to get dressed in the car!

The first thing I saw when I walked into the doors at the Pasadena Convention Center was a HUGE IMATS sign well.. besides the massive line of hundreds of people! I waited almost a half an hour in line before I got next to this thing!

There were so many people looking great all day long ready to get into huge convention!

While I made a few friends in line talking about how incredibly huge the line had turned out to be we finally made it to the front! Once we walked into "Exhibit Room A" this is what I saw!! I thought I would see makeup first but all I saw was people walking around...and then I saw the makeup :) There was so much to look at and it was like a dream for a makeup artist.

I also got the awesome opportunity to meet one of my favorite makeup artists, Kandee Johnson.  She is such a great inspiration to me, and one of the people that helped me stay focused in my own makeup business.
I also met another great inspiration to me, Rae Morris. She is one of the most down to earth people I have ever met. Not only is she incredibly talented but a beautiful human inside and out! She is so much prettier in person...and let me tell you.. shes GORGEOUS in pics. I have pics from meeting her at the after party at the Sheraton, and from her being a keynote speaker at the main stage. I was so exited when we got to ask questions on the cards, only 4 questions from the cards were asked and the first one to my surprise WAS MINE!

and at the end of the trip when i got home...I forgot I ordered E.L.F. stuff! So I ended up having more makeup then I realized after this weekend!

and finally now that Im back at home, I get to finish planning my workshops! I am going to be having a workshop for drags, for evening looks, and maybe more! Follow me on facebook if you want to know information! :)

Yes! Another day of makeup fun shopping!

YEAYYYYY. So i went on a shopping day with one of my very best friends on Monday up in chandler, az. :) I must say i am very exited to use everything for a photo shoot!
We went a little crazy with spending... we did buy more then just makeup tho...well....at least she did! haha :)

So these are some of the things i bought that i am IN LOVE WITH

M.A.C. lip liner in BRICK RED (the website describes it as an intense gold red) to pair with M.A.C. lipstick in Russian Red which has intense blue undertones that will make teeth look more white! *BOTH BEAUTIFUL* awesome great for the perfect red lip. :) (on the picture the liner is on the far left, and the lipstick is next to it) Then i also bought the "black track" fluidline eyeliner...but im sure everyone knows what that looks like.. if not you will see it on the next photoshoot :)

Then while we were shopping in Victoria's Secret...of course i found the makeup...and decided i absolutely had to buy at least ONE of the shimmer shadows. they were GORGEOUS. so i ended up buying "silverdust"

While we were in Sephora i saw such a cool picture with a dark blackish purple lipstick on the model and i was DETERMINED to recreate it! :) so i found almost n EXACT match. Sephora brand lipstick R24 called "Bewitch Me" which i am putting with a black eyeliner on the lip to create the dark purple lip.(the purpleish grape color)

while we were in Sephora, i also found this awesome"immediate wrinkle filler" which would be great to use on wrinkles like it says or to put underneath a primer i decided to make the skin look even more flawless. I will be using it on the photo shoot next weekend! :)
Heres what it looks like:
Next time I head into Sephora, i HAVE TO buy the heavy metal glitter liner in "glam rock"... it was BEAUTIFIL...but i was out of money while i was there :(  it stayed on FOREVER.. it was unreal. i LOVED IT..

ON ANOTHER NOTE...ill post a blog with some of the photos from the last photo shoot i did :)

I hope you all have a fabulous and happy day :) Enjoy life! <3
